Doesn't work as advertised

I spend a lot of time on the road and was hoping this would hold my HTC Inspire in a position that I could easily operate it in the car, while at stop lights, without needing to hold it. It fits well in the cup holder of my 2012 Camry and is fairly well built, but it has a major flaw...the bracket for holding the phone has clips that are not positioned properly. When I clipped the phone into th holder, one of the clips was just barely over the bottom of the volume button which caused the phone to bug out as the button is constantly being pressed. In addition, the bottom clip is placed in a position that blocks the connector used for charging the phone.

Bottom-line, the holder is worthless for holding the HTC Inspire because of the clip issues. If the only flaw was the clip on the bottom blocking the charging connector, I would have given it three stars as it would have at least been partially functional without charging. Unfortunately, the clip holding down the volume button makes it worthless. If I can find the time, I am going to try to cut the clips with a Dremel in the hope of getting some value from this piece of plastic that is currently rolling around under my seat.

This product would be great if the bracket had properly positioned clips. Oh well...I am hoping some custom modifications will make it work.
